The usual lists making points (usually shared in memes) always have a line or two that are pointless because they do not apply to a large chunk of the target audience.  This is one of them.

(Before getting into the topic point I want to make my opinion clear: reproductive rights are, at the end, 100% in the woman’s domain.)

The meme line is...

If you don’t believe in abortion…don’t have one.

That list point leaves out the point that many hard core anti-abortion people are men who cannot make that choice on the physical end.  This would make them tune out the entire list.  

    Thinking of this point while at work (manufacturing, which allows the mind to contemplate a bit more.). An easy solution was obvious to me.  Males should clear the air before sexual relations, at least to the level of importance they give the topic.  Thinking that closed that line of thought, I mentioned it to a co-worker.  The answer stunned me.

“That would be a tough subject in a bar.”

He was serious.

I replied “You are picking up someone for throwaway sex and you would want her to have your baby?"  Shaking his head like I did not understand and walked away.

Whoa.

Years later I mentioned it to a different male. 

He said his ex-wife had one maybe two abortions without telling him she was pregnant.  Decades later he was still annoyed by it.  

I noted that they were no longer together so that supports my point.  He said 'no because she did not tell him.'  

My point still works in that if it was of utmost importance then that topic should have been discussed in deeper length before they were married.

    On a side point, since there are single moms perhaps it is time men who feel strongly anti-abortion should adopt children when they are single. 

    Obviously this topic can turn into a long rambling but those are some of the points I encountered with what I thought was a simple easy solution.
